First dates can be stressful because you both want to relieve the tension and have a real conversation. Many think that oysters are aphrodisiacs, which is why they choose them to create a romantic atmosphere.
An Atlanta woman named Equana had an unforgettable first date full of oysters and decided to share her experience in a viral video.
He arranged to meet a guy he’d been avoiding for a few weeks at Fontaine’s Oyster House in the city’s vibrant Virginia-Highland neighborhood. Equana discovered they had a special deal on Tuesdays, with oysters priced at $15 a dozen, and he intended to take full advantage of it.
I’m watching this irritated because I was exposing my favorite oyster place in Atlanta, but this is too fun not to share 😭😭😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/edwpRyztnx

He boldly ordered four dozen oysters and recorded himself on camera adding lemon juice and Tabasco to the shells and savoring each one.
I think she is very real for eating 48 oysters and then ordering more food and I also understand why someone would leave after seeing their date eat 48 oysters 😭 I think this was the best possible outcome https://t.co/e5QoSTv3j7

“All of you, when the fourth [plate] He came out, looked at me crazy. I didn’t give a damn,” she admitted in the clip. “I said, ‘Honey, you asked me out.’ I’m going to eat.'”
It turns out that the four dozen oysters were just the beginning.
He ordered crab cakes and potatoes and enjoyed what appeared to be lemon martinis. On the other hand, her date reached its limit and she opted to leave before things quietly got complicated.
He informed her that he was heading to the bathroom and disappeared for almost half an hour, leaving her to realize that he was gone.
She found herself responsible for the bill, which covered her food and drink and “one drink” of his.
She later shared a screenshot of their post-date text conversation, in which he revealed his initial plans and how things had changed once they arrived at the restaurant.
“I offered to buy you drinks and you ordered all that food.” he wrote. “I can charge the full amount of drinks on the app.”
After the viral video, restaurant manager Kelcey Flanagan weighed in on the seemingly outrageous decision to order 48 oysters.
From his perspective, he mentioned that four dozen of these shellfish don’t even compare to some of the largest orders he’s witnessed.
“This is nothing new for us” he told Rolling Stone, adding: “It was pretty fun.”
“Two ladies ordered six dozen [oysters] each,” she said. “That’s not even the icing on the cake: They were drinking White Russians. I didn’t know how to feel about it personally. I was like, ‘This is crazy to me, but it’s okay.'”
Flanagan has also witnessed competitions that generated substantial orders. “For example, I had a guy at an oyster-eating contest and he ordered 15 dozen,” he recalled.
Regarding the viral client, Flanagan commented: “It was nice to have her.” He hoped he “won’t get too much criticism.” Flanagan added: “He had a good time and, you know, it was just another Tuesday.”
Having a good time on a date is essential, but both people should have a pleasant experience.
