For this case, a special five-member vote was specially organized to investigate the matter. This oversight body was headed by Judge, retired Chief Election Commissioner. Sardar Raza Khan investigated and supervised the entire case.
Shah imprisoned
The five-member panel that was created decided against Yasmeen and canceled Yasmeen’s senatorial announcement. After all, it was said and done and the verdict was delivered, unfortunately the circumstances were not in his favor.
The session court punished Yasmeen Shah with a two-year jail term, local media reported. As soon as the verdict was delivered, Shah was detained by the police and taken out of the city to serve her jail sentence. The day after the verdict was pronounced, she was taken to the Hyderabad district jail, where she would spend her two-year sentence.
Not only was this punishment not enough. The court also asked Yasmeen to pay a fine of Rs 50,000. Members of the higher authority and Dr. Fehmida Mirza, leader of the Grand Democratic Alliance, started a petition against her, adding to her already distressing verdict.
