According to videos that emerged from the courtroom, Young Thug was sitting in the center of a table in court when the chaos ensued. During this, around three people were handcuffed and escorted away. However, it is not yet clear if those three people being escorted were other defendants or bystanders in the case. The court officer said, “Everyone be calm, clear the courtroom.” Meanwhile, the officers cleared the courtroom immediately. Please take a look at the next section to find out what the defense attorneys had to say about it.
A journalist who was in the courtroom at the time spoke to the defense attorneys. Defense attorneys asserted that defendant Rodalius Ryan was escorted out when he began yelling from the holding cell area of the courtroom. Defendants Coradrius Dorsey and Christian Eppinger then stood up and asked officers to release Ryan from the courtroom holding cell. One of them said, “He didn’t do anything wrong!” Eric Johnson, Eppinger’s attorney, said that Eppinger and Ryan are good friends and that Eppinger is concerned for Ryan’s safety, so he stood up. Dorsey’s lawyer told Winne: “Mr. Ryan, the little boy, I mean, he’s a boy, was taken away all of a sudden, they took him to the back and we can hear him scream. We can hear him in the courtroom screaming for help. And we’re all confused.” However, it is still unclear why he was escorted. The attorney said an officer had an alleged altercation with Ryan and that he was scheduled to appear during the trial just at the time Ryan was escorted out.
YSL lawyer arrested
It is necessary to maintain the dignity of a profession and especially when you are sitting in a good position. However, there are many people who have taken advantage of their power and position and think that no one will be able to catch them. But they forget that everyone is equal before the law and no one can make fun of the law. Such an example has been set for all those people who believe that they can influence the law with their power. According to the latest exclusive reports, Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested Anastassios Manettas, an attorney representing one of the defendants in the decumbent trial of the rapper identified as Young Thug and 13 other alleged racketeering and gang charges in Atlanta.
The reports indicate that the accused lawyer was carrying prescription drugs. The lawyer was arrested on Thursday, April 20, 2023 when he was at the security control. The sheriff’s office is still standardizing charges, Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat said. He further added that drugs have been a problem at the time of the trial. Labat affirms that “We have increased the security protocol. We will keep moving forward. Keep in mind that everything that comes into the courtroom will be searched.”
Why was YSL’s lawyer arrested?
The news of the lawyer’s arrest is officially confirmed by his colleagues stating that “The defense lawyer in the Young Slime Life gang case was detained while trying to enter the courtroom with some of his prescription drugs. Not only this, he reportedly threw his cell phone at the deputy. Thereafter, the attorney is charged with simple assault on a law enforcement officer, disruption and obstruction of court proceedings, and possession of pills not in his original box. Manettas was reportedly trying to throw his phone at another lawyer.
As we mentioned earlier, Manettas represents Miles “Slato” Farley, one of 28 people indicted for alleged gang activity in 2022. The attorney’s arrest comes just 1 day after defendant Rodalius Ryan was kicked out of the courtroom because he was also believed to be carrying drugs, that is, the possession of marijuana. Apart from that, a video is circulating on the web in which YSL lawyer Justin Hill calls Judge Glanville “borderline” for suggesting that he did not have a prior argument. He claims that he “was just saying it’s not right. To be honest, it’s a ceiling.” We are looking forward to knowing more details about it.
