What a fool.
An irate Florida man got himself into a sticky legal situation when he allegedly threw a paddle at a Family Dollar manager during a heated argument Wednesday, authorities wrote in an affidavit obtained by The Smoking Gun.
Dalton Reed, 24, was arrested and charged with simple assault, a misdemeanor, after the standoff in Clearwater, according to jail records.
While waiting in line to be checked at the chain store, Reed got into a verbal argument with the manager that erupted when he threw the lollipop at him, the document alleges.
The candy struck the manager in the chest, and the incident was “caught on camera and witnessed by the employee,” the affidavit states.

The victim was not injured, police said.
A judge ordered Reed not to return to the Family Dollar store or have any contact with the manager, the outlet reported.
Reed was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after the incident, jail records indicate.
