Chandrayaan-3 project manager father P Veeramuthuvel cries after watching the historic landing
It wasn’t just the people of India anticipating the success of the lunar lander and staying glued to their screens at home as they watched the live broadcast from the ISRO command center. The families of the scientists and engineers also joined hands in prayer to send good vibes to their boys and girls.
One such reaction was captured on film when the father of project manager P Veeramuthuvel, P Palanivel, was sitting in front of his television at home in Tamil Nadu. In the clip, the Indian father appears anxious before landing and lights up seconds after the successful landing.
Palanivel cries when she realizes that her son had made history with his contribution to the mission to the moon. Like every Indian father, Palanivel had few words to congratulate his son’s achievement, but his tears and his face said it all.

He said ME TOO, “Today Chandrayaan-3 landed with flying colors. So this happiness goes to each and every person in India as well as Tamil Nadu. So I’m very, very happy. My son worked hard. As a father, I share happiness with you. I’m very happy.”
Subsequently, the father received a shower of congratulations from the people of his town. He was graced with vibrant shawls and given sweets to commemorate his son’s contribution to the country’s historic landmark.

The video moved hearts across the internet as people praised the father’s simplicity and acknowledged that they, too, reacted in a similar way after witnessing the landing.
Seeing the direct contribution of a child to the growth of the country and defending the pride of the nation, which today is appreciated by the whole world, is the greatest satisfaction for a parent or parents 🙂
