Golu Raja was born in 1997 in Piro village of Arrah district in Bihar. He was born in a middle class Brahmin family and started singing Bhojpuri songs at a young age. His first breakthrough came when she participated in the Bhojpuri singing reality show Nahle Pe Dahla Bhojpuri Show and his first Bhojpuri song was released in 2015, titled Gad Badail Rahta Mijaz.
