Google Cloud is joining the Kuwaiti market now that the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) has given its approval for IT services company Google Cloud to become a separate company.
The company, which is owned by Google Europe, Middle East, and Africa Unlimited Company, will use the ‘One Person Company’ business plan.
The company has a total stock of KD 600,000 and provides services like cloud computing, data processing, web hosting, and more.
Earlier this year, Google Cloud and the Kuwaiti government announced that they would work together to create a digital transformation plan for all key government agencies and state-owned companies that would use Google Cloud technology.
The government will also be able to learn more about data analytics, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) thanks to the partnership.
As part of the agreement, Google Cloud will work with the government to digitize services for citizens and improve the efficiency of government workers.
