Gunman on motorcycle in Tupac T-shirt sparks panic at UC Berkeley after shooting outside crowded concert hall

A crazed gunman wearing a Tupac Shakur T-shirt plunged the University of California, Berkeley campus into terror Friday night after randomly firing an automatic pistol outside a packed classical music performance.

The anonymous shooter, who resides in Oakland, reportedly arrived on campus on a motorcycle around 8:30 p.m. and began harassing a group of students who were practicing a dance routine inside a tent.

Students told the Berkeley Scanner that the man was agitated and appeared delirious.

When the students tried to convince him to leave the area, at one point he threatened to summon federal agents and deport them.

After refusing to leave, video shows the man repeatedly firing a gun near the school’s student union.

Footage recorded by witnesses shows terrified students running up stairs inside the building as gunshots explode.

Chaos erupted during a packed concert by acclaimed soprano Renée Fleming at the nearby Zellerbach Auditorium.

Approximately 2,000 frightened attendees were forced to shelter in place during an intermission as police units swarmed the venue.

Officers quickly located a suspect and took him into custody. Other videos show a detained man denying any involvement in the incident before he is taken away.

The shooter was arrested and held in a psychiatric facility for evaluation. KGO
