A couple named John Heathco and Abby Lutz perished at a hotel in Mexico. They allegedly traveled to Baja California Sur together on vacation. The two spent the night at Rancho Pescadero, a five-star Hyatt property located in El Pescader, about 40 miles north of Cabo San Lucas. They went to the hospital for treatment after experiencing symptoms they assumed were typical of food poisoning. Days later, Heathco and Lutz felt a world of difference. Unfortunately, a call was made to their relatives informing them that they had died peacefully in their sleep in their hotel room. Everyone was horrified when the news was revealed online and immediately started sending condolence notes and tributes to all the family and friends.
John Heathco and Abby Lutz left at 28 and 41, respectively. Following his death, various rumors surfaced online speculating that it may have been a murder or suicide. Neither of these are accurate because Heathco and Lutz supposedly died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
They were discovered at the Rancho Pescadero Hotel in El Pescadero, Baja California Sur. On Tuesday night around 9 p.m., paramedics were seen arriving, but they were unable to save the patient. The Baja California Sur Attorney General’s Office indicated that Heathco was from Mexico, while Lutz was from Newport Beach. Before they were discovered, the lovebirds had been dead for 10 to 11 hours. There was no indication of any physical abuse on their bodies, according to the attorney general’s office.
The Heathco and Lutz families have already launched a GoFundMe campaign. The couple, from the United States of America, passed away in Mexico, as stated above.
