Who won the world record?
In a unique and spectacular stunt at the award-winning location, Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island received a Guinness World RecordsTM title for the most incredible display of messages in bottles. In a major installation at Saadiyat Beach Club, the destination brought together 1,100 bottles, each with a different message.
“We are driven by a passion to bring people together, create a sense of community and create heartfelt connections,” said Taghrid AlSaeed, CEO of Group Communications and Destination Marketing at Miral, accepting the award on behalf of Miral.
We are honored to have received this accolade from Guinness World RecordsTM, which reflects our dedication to creating lifelong experiences and delighting all our visitors, while realizing our vision for Saadiyat Island and fostering the development of Abu Dhabi.
We thank everyone who helped us reach this important milestone.
What was the message written to break the world record?
Saadiyat Island invited visitors to participate in the stunt by writing a short note describing what they love most about Saadiyat Island or what love means to them.
The trick was inspired by the infamous Pont des Arts bridge in Paris, where passersby place padlocks with their names written or engraved on the railing or fence on the side of the bridge.
The notes were placed inside each glass bottle and delivered to the Saadiyat Beach Club the following week.
