Arun Yogiraj recently received a special gift from a renowned sweet shop in Mysuru.
As the much-awaited inauguration of the Ram temple by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approaches on January 22, the idol of Ram Lalla has already been installed inside the sanctum sanctorum as part of the pre-consecration rituals.
In anticipation of this important event, the well-known Shree Mahalakshmi Sweets in Mysuru gifted Arun Yogiraj and his family a replica of the Ram Mandir made with a variety of sweets.
On January 2, former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa revealed in a social media post that Arun Yogiraj’s sculpture of Lord Rama had been chosen to be placed at the Rama Mandir in Ayodhya.
Yediyurappa expressed his joy and stated that the selection of the Yogiraj idol had significantly increased the pride and happiness of Rama devotees across the state. In his congratulatory message, Yediyurappa expressed his sincere wishes to the sculptor.
In an interview with news agency PTI earlier this month, Arun Yogiraj spoke about the difficulties encountered in creating the Ram Lalla idol.
“Considering the divine element and incorporating a childlike face, I started this project about six or seven months ago. Now I am deeply satisfied. My satisfaction lies not only in the selection but in the broader appreciation of the people. That is what truly gives me It brings joy,” shared Arun Yogiraj.
Apart from the idol of Ram Lalla, Yogiraj has also made the sculptures of Adi Shankaracharya, situated in Kedarnath, and Subhash Chandra Bose, installed near the India Gate in Delhi.
