National Film Day 2023
In honor of National Film Day on October 13, which falls on Thursday, the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) declared that movie buffs can watch the latest releases at a reasonable price. When premium and recliner forms are excluded, tickets will start at just 99. On National Movie Day, people can buy discounted movie tickets online through services like BookMyShow and PayTM. You just have to choose the place, your favorite movie and October 13 as the date. The films that can be accessed for 99 cents on National Movie Day are Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, and Raniganj, starring Akshay Kumar.
There are also reduced prices on recent titles including Dhak Dhak, Thank You for Coming and Fukrey 3. Additionally, a wide selection of English, Malayalam and Japanese movies are available at a reasonable price. However, IMAX and 4DX are not included in the promotion. Additionally, the convenience fee and GST are not included in the $99 tickets. For the same fee, you can also go to local movie theaters and buy a ticket offline. National Cinema Day was first proposed by the Multiplex Association of India in 2022 to mark the reopening of cinema halls in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
To help cinemas that suffered considerable losses due to the epidemic, the association agreed to offer significant discounts on movie tickets on National Cinema Day. The rivalry posed by OTT platforms was one more justification for the introduction of National Film Day. Over 4,000 screens in multiplexes across India, including PVR INOX, Cinepolis, Miraj and Delite, have joined forces to celebrate National Cinema Day in 2023. The multiplex owners are yet to set the date for National Cinema Day. Ultimately, MAI decided to designate September 23 as National Film Day in 2022. However, the date for 2023 was decided to be October 13. Tickets were priced $75 less than the previous year.
