Punit Pathak was born on November 1, 1987 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was very fascinated by cricket since childhood. He used to play cricket for his school team during his school days. While in college, he developed a great interest in dancing.
Pathak used to perform in different dance competitions during his college days. When she was 17 years old, she managed to obtain the dance training scholarship from the Terence Lewis Dance Academy. She had learned various forms of dance at that academy.

Career
Pathak started his career as a dancer in the dance reality show Dance India Dance in the year 2009. He appeared in the second season of the show along with Shakti Mohan and Dharmesh Yelande. He later got the opportunity to act in the movie ABCD: Any Body Can Dance directed by Remo D’souza. He played the character of ‘Chandu’ in that film. He has also acted in films like ABCD 2 (2015), Nawabzaade (2018) and Street Dancer (2020).
