Seven-Year Amazon Employee Fired After Complaining About Heavy Lifting on TikTok: ‘I Fired My Idiot’

He is no longer in the best moment of his career, because he did not want to do the hard work.

An Amazon employee of seven years claimed he was fired because he complained about having to pick up heavy customer orders in videos posted online.

TikToker @thatamazonguyy, who posted behind-the-scenes videos about working at Amazon, revealed to his 35,800 followers last week that the retail giant fired him over his complaints.

“Hey guys, I have bad news. Uh, Amazon fired my idiot. Seven long years down the drain just like that,” said the TikToker, whose given name is Kendall, and goes by “Amazon King” on the social media platform.

“Long story short, I made a video about four weeks ago telling people to stop buying heavy items on Amazon because as an Amazon worker, I’m tired of lifting heavy items.”

He went on to explain that while most viewers found humor in the post, others, like older people, weren’t laughing.

“Most people took it as a joke, especially if you work at Amazon, you knew I was exaggerating a little bit… but a lot of people were offended by my video,” he said.

Kendall also apologized and stated that her intentions were not to cause any harm.

“If you were offended by that video, I’m sorry. I never wanted to offend anyone or discriminate against anyone. I just wanted to make a fun video,” she said. “I’m not just saying that. “I already lost my job and am not eligible for rehire, so please forgive me.”

In the December 6 video in question, “Stop Buying Heavy Items on Amazon,” Kendall, a trainer at Amazon, explains that he took an extra shift and was assigned the job of a picker at their warehouse.

“Tell me why all the other items I chose were Fiji water or dog food?” he asked his followers.

“I don’t know who needs to hear this, but stop buying water on Amazon,” he pleaded.

“Are you telling me you run out of water, go to Amazon and wait two or three business days to get your damn water, bro? What are you drinking in the meantime? Take your sloth to the store and buy water there like normal people do.”

He also called for empathy for employees like “the 50-year-old lady who has to grab dog food from the top shelf” and joked about what he would do in retaliation against inconsiderate customers.

“Next time I’m harvesting and see some water, I’ll replace the Fiji water with Aquafina,” he said.

“If you’re buying dog food, I’ll replace half the dog food with cat food… Look how your dog likes that, pure nonsense.”

Kendall, who now refers to himself as “Your Favorite Ex-Amazonian” on TikTok, used the platform to post videos while at work, such as “Day in the Life of a Top Level Amazon Associate,” “Amazon Parking ”, “ I was late on my overtime day ”, and “ When you take a 12-hour OT shift .”
