In his early adult years, he became a part of the Sydney convicts rugby club and started to play with them. He traveled to Canada to work in Canadian Sports Institute Gym and there he got the chance to be a part of the Australian bobsled team as his bobsledding skills were also very good. This was the time when he became the very first guy to represent his country in the bobsled sport. But this wouldn’t last so long as in 2016 he retired from the sport.
He then joined the Kings Cross Steelers, which is the London rugby team, and played for it. He also appeared in a music video of Greg Gould and Inaya Day, “Love Like This” which become part of Global Pride 2020.
In 2021, Simon announced his comeback to the Australian bobsleigh sport intending to represent his country in Beijing’s 2022 Winter Olympics. He started his training for the same in September 2021 but during the 2nd 4-man competition in British Columbia, he suffered a ruptured bicep, unfortunately, he made a return to Australia for treatment and he couldn’t compete in the Olympics.
