The first season of the anime included hints of the Shibuya incident. Geto previously shared the intentions for October 31 in Shibuya. However, here’s the general outline of this arc for the uninitiated: We’ll see Geto and his group use the Prison Realm to try and capture Gojo. You might be wondering what the Prism Kingdom is. Well, Master Tengen will tell you everything you need to know later in the series. The combats between some of the most powerful figures of the Jujutsu Kaisen that take place in the streets of Shibuya will also be protagonists.
No doubt we are all set for another epic showdown in the JJK verse. The Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 trailer for the Shibuya Incident arc debuted on Toho Animation’s YouTube page on Thursday, August 24. The Shibuya Incident arc, which is scheduled to begin the following Thursday, August 31, appears in several images of the trailer. The opening theme of the future King Gnu arc, SPECIAL, was also included in the trailer. The Night Festival sub-arc, which comes before the main Shibuya Incident arc, was also hinted at in the trailer, giving fans a fair idea of how much of the arc Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 intends to adapt.
The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shibuya arc trailer is 1 minute and 25 seconds long. Suguru Geto made the initial decision that his battleground would be Shibuya on October 31 before switching to Yuji Itadori. The trailer hinted at the impending battle between Kokichi Muta and Mahito from the Evening Festival sub-arc, which is expected to span the first two episodes. Then, in rapid succession, the following characters appeared: Satoru Gojo, Nobara Kugisaki, Panda, Maki Zen’in, Toge Inumaki, Mei Mei, Kiyotaka Ijichi, Atsuya Kusakabe, Nanami Kento, and Megumi Fushiguro. Also included in the trailer were moments of Yuji’s conflict with Choso and Jogo’s rampage in Shibuya.
The conflict between Hanami Jogo and Gojo also received special attention. Surprisingly, Kasumi Miwa frequently used Simple Mastery in the advancement before switching to Atsuya Kusakabe’s Yuzuki. The battle between Megumi, Yuji, and Jiro Awasaka was seen in the final moments of the trailer, followed by a brief glimpse of Sukuna unleashing his Flame technique on Jogo. The SPECIAL opening theme song by King Gnu, the musician behind Ichizu and Sakayume’s theme songs from Jujutsu Kaisen 0, was used in the teaser. The Gojo’s Past anime arc ended on August 3, and the second half of the season will begin on August 31.
The second longest arc of the manga to date is called The Shibuya Incident. The most recent scene that can be seen, according to the trailer, is from chapter 115. There are now 18 episodes left to show in Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. It seems unlikely that all 59 chapters (chapters 79 to 136) of the Shibuya Incident arc could be animated into 18 episodes, even with the non-animated chapter 64 included. It is safe to hope that Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will at least adapt the Shibuya Incident arc up to either chapter 120 or chapter 125, both of which portray some of the important events of the arc. This is based on past adoption rates.
