It was eventually discovered that Barge was a homeless man in Texas whose identity had been stolen by Mohamed Kamaludeen, a man who had been convicted of robbery and murder. Nearly six years after Calder’s murder, the perpetrator was finally apprehended by police, and the jury at trial sentenced him to life in prison.
