Trio of thieves steal $1,000 worth of butter from Canadian grocery store

Three Canadian men thought they were getting a quiet getaway when they loaded their grocery cart with butter and walked out the door without paying.

But the police in Guelph, Ontario were on a roll and arrested the bumbling butter thieves before they could abscond with their rich, creamy loot.

Shortly before 4 pm on Christmas Eve, officers responded to a grocery store where two men were seen putting a box of butter into a shopping cart and carrying it to a car that was outside waiting for them.

While checking the nearby parking lots of other businesses, police officers noticed the same car parked outside another grocery store. The two male occupants of the vehicle were arrested, along with a third man who approached officers as he was leaving the store.
