Polie Phan, 26, and Jaidan Vu Nguyen, 25, are charged with capital murder in the deadly open shooting and both suspects fled and were declared a fugitive and wanted by Houston police. The reports further added that the lady’s body was discovered lifeless in the house, while her friend, 37-year-old James Martin III, was reported missing along with the white Dodge Ram pickup truck. The missing truck belonged to Ryssdal. After 3 days, on January 30, 2023, the missing truck was discovered in southeast Houston, but Martin was not located. It was not until February 1, 2023 that Martin’s dead body was discovered in the trunk of the Pruis in an HPD impound lot. Police stated that Martin’s body was bound with duct tape and multiple gunshot wounds have been discovered on the body. According to police, the woman accused of cleaning the Height-area home where the men were killed appears in court for the first time overnight and was taken into custody Friday afternoon. Kathy Vu, 23, is charged with tampering with evidence.
