Steps to recover a permanently deleted Gmail account
Scenario 1: If you remember your password
- Go to this link in a web browser: https://accounts.google.com/signin/v2/recoveryidentifier?flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=ServiceLogin
- Enter your ‘Gmail username’ you want to recover and click ‘Next’.
- You will see a message saying ‘This account was recently deleted and can be recovered’; if you don’t see this message, it means your account cannot be recovered; press ‘Next’ to continue.
- Then enter your Gmail account password and click ‘Next’.
- You will see a message ‘Success, you have recovered your account’; after that, you can successfully login to your Gmail account.
Scenario 2: If you don’t remember your password
- Go to this link in a web browser: https://accounts.google.com/signin/v2/recoveryidentifier?flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=ServiceLogin
- Enter your ‘Gmail username’ you want to recover and click ‘Next’.
- You will see a message saying ‘This account was recently deleted and can be recovered’; if you don’t see this message, it means your account cannot be recovered; press ‘Next’ to continue.
- When prompted to enter your password, click ‘Try another way’
- Now, click ‘Submit’ to get the verification code for your number.
- Enter the code and click ‘Verify’.
- You may also need to verify your recovery email address if you have added it to your Gmail account.
- After verification, you can simply create a new password for your Gmail account.
After that, your deleted Gmail account will be recovered and you will see the message “Success: You have recovered your account”.
