Texas police were searching for a person of interest after officials confirmed that pregnant Texas teen Savanah Soto and her boyfriend Matthew Guerra died from gunshot wounds to the head.
The revelations come after the bodies of Soto, 18, and Guerra, 22, were found Tuesday in a parking lot outside an apartment complex on San Antonio’s northwest side.
Her unborn baby was also pronounced dead.
“The death of Soto [has been ruled] a homicide due to a gunshot wound to the head,” a spokesperson for the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office told The Post.
The coroner also listed Guerra’s cause of death as a “contact gunshot wound to the head,” but has not yet determined whether it was suicide or homicide, the spokesperson added.
“The war is still an unfinished business,” he said.
No firearms or cell phones were discovered at the crime scene where police found the couple’s bullet-riddled bodies.
The San Antonio Police Department released surveillance images Thursday showing two persons of interest near where the couple’s bodies were found.
The video shows a suspect driving the victims’ silver Kia Optima in a parking lot with the lights off in front of a dark-colored pickup truck, driven by another suspect.

A large person in a tank top exits the truck, opens the driver’s side door of the Kia and appears to exchange words with the driver, who stands up in a moment.
After a brief exchange, the two walk away in opposite directions, as the video shows.
Soto disappeared on Friday, one day before the scheduled date to be induced and give birth to her baby, whom they had already named Fabián.
Her body was found in a car next to Guerra’s the next day after alarmed relatives reported her missing to police because she failed to show up for her appointment at Stone Oak Methodist Hospital.

Gloria Córdova, Soto’s mother, told KENS5 that Soto was found in the front seat with a car seat on top of her and Guerra was lying in the back seat.
“I hope they pay for what they did to my daughter,” he told the television station, adding that he believes Guerra was involved in criminal activity.
“He used to abuse her and I told him to end the relationship, but she… was stubborn and didn’t listen. But I think this time she was going to leave him. That’s what I’m hearing.
“They took an innocent, innocent girl who was going to be a mother, they simply took her life for nothing.”

Guerra was reportedly on probation for assaulting Soto on Christmas Day last year.
In June, a judge granted Guerra probation in the family violence case and allowed him to have contact with Soto as long as it was not “harmful or disruptive,” according to court documents.
Probation was set to expire in June 2024, but a judge extended it until February 2025 after Guerra faced additional unrelated charges, including unlawful carrying of a weapon, evading arrest in a vehicle and reckless driving, according to the newspaper.

Guerra’s father, Gabriel, said he knew his son had a criminal record that included illegally carrying a weapon, evading police and a charge of assault causing bodily injury.
But, in an interview with KENS5, he insisted that his son was not responsible for the couple’s deaths.
“He talked about how [becoming a dad] I was going to do better, a better person,” Gabriel said.
Guerra’s mother, Karen Hernández, also defended her son in a Facebook post after news of his death became public.
“I was always a good mom to my baby. 1703830988 I’m heartbroken [sic] And no one will take the love I carry in my heart and soul for my pride and joy!!!!” she wrote.
